I want a place to speak my mind, talk about things search and not-search related. Heck, if I want to blast Google for doing something but give them real attitude, I can do it here. Heck, if I disagree with Danny at Search Engine Watch, I can do that here also. If I had a bad day, I can whine about it over here. If I want to share fun experiences with the world (if they care) I can do it here. The list goes on, this is my personal blog, but it also will contain recaps of what I did in the search world today in the Daily Search Coverage category. In addition, I may give some SEO or SEM tips that I feel are not appropriate for the SEW or SER blogs I write at. πŸ˜‰

All in all, I want to write what I want to write and not have to worry about what people want to hear. Don’t get me wrong, I love the other two blogs, I enjoy it a ton. But, sometimes, I have things to say that don’t fit in those blogs.

Welcome to the Cartoon Barry Blog, where Cartoon Barry can speak his mind.

P.S. It makes it easier to speak your mind if you use a cartoon as a mask.

Love it Barry. First off, the design is kick-ass. Good job! Secondly, it will be fun to get a peek into the inner you. πŸ™‚ Adding it to my feedreader now.

  2. Hawaii SEO

    I love it!

Seth had a great post about this subject today.
    “Blogging is the new poetry.”

Everyone should have a personal blog if they can. Sometimes people give Jim Boykin a hard time because of his “Cat posts” but I think that’s one of the best parts of his blog.

If Jim had a personal blog, I would read it.

Greg Hartnett has two blogs that I read.

The second one is a link blog. I love the idea. Greg is an interesting guy that I could probably learn a lot from.

AWall has a personal blog that I read from time to time as well. I think he’s too hard on himself though. I’m sometimes overly critical of myself as well.

I’ve thought about doing a personal blog but I type way too slow and I spend way too much time arranging my thoughts, so the posts would be semi weekly at best.

Is this where you’ll be posting the baby pictures? ;^)

I do like Hawaii SEO’s baby picture comment.
Although I think I know you pretty well, maybe I can also get a different peek into the innner Barry (behind the mask) πŸ˜‰

And maybe you can give me some pointers on making my book blog (www.xkimo.com) work {(

LOL… I just started my own personal blog, too! (linked in name) I won’t be posting much work stuff into it, though… I get to rant all I want on SEOdisco πŸ™‚

    Anyway, nice site!

  6. Ari Fromm

    very impressive, great job.

You sure you guys don’t need a copy machine???

  7. Carsten Cumbrowski

Nice Barry, where are the rants? .. start digging hehe. Just kidding.

I guess I was lucky with ReveNews.com, because there is no master agenda or policy that restricts me from posting what I want, as long as it has to do with Internet marketing in a broad sense at least.

Only if it is totally unrelated am I falling back to my personal and first blog for that, plus the other things that I planned to use that blog for in the first place hehe.

I love the cartoon of you Barry. Where did you get it?? I also like the blog, I think it’s great. I’ll keep reading. I just started a blog but it’s no match for this πŸ™‚
